About the Air Conditioning Rebate
The Air Conditioning Rebate is $78.98 a year from 1 July 2026. RevenueWA describes it as one of three parts of the Energy Concession Extension Scheme, paid in certain cases alongside the Energy Assistance Payment and the Dependent Child Rebate.
The 2026-27 WA Budget funded a 10% boost to the air conditioning allowance along with the other two payments.
It is separate from the Thermoregulatory Dysfunction Energy Subsidy, which pays $832 a year to people with medical conditions affecting body temperature control.
