Privacy Policy: How WattNavi Handles Your Information Today

WattNavi is built to be used without giving us any personal information. This policy explains the little we do handle, and why.

Last updated, October 2026

What information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the website itself. Like any website, the company that hosts our pages may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, browser types and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure. We do not use those logs to identify individuals.

Our calculators

The bill, solar, battery, appliance and gas calculators work entirely in your browser. Usage figures and prices you enter are used to work out the result on your screen and are not stored or sent to us.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores one small value in your browser's local storage to remember that you closed the announcement bar at the top of the page. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not contact a font provider.

If you email us

If you email contact@wattnavi.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix any error you report. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details. We keep correspondence only as long as we need it for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, which in practice is only any emails you have sent us, and ask us to correct or delete it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. See also our terms of use.
