About the Home Energy Saver
Home Energy Saver has two parts. Zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 are open to homeowners with a combined taxable household income up to $210,000. Discounts of up to $4,000 are aimed at households with an income up to $80,000 or an eligible concession card, and can be used by renters as well as owners.
Loans are delivered by participating finance providers, Brighte and Plenti, and approved suppliers. Discounts are delivered by Creditex. When we checked in October 2026, loans were open and discount applications were listed as coming soon.
If you might qualify for both, apply for the discount first, then use the loan for the rest of the cost.

Moving or switching retailer?
Concessions applied by your retailer do not always move with you. When you move house or switch, give your card details to the new retailer and check the next bill. See how to claim a concession.
