About the Life Support Concession
The concession is a daily discount on your electricity bill, set for each approved device. From 1 July 2026 it ranges from 13.702 cents a day for a mains-powered nebuliser to 257.485 cents a day for a phototherapy machine.
An oxygen concentrator attracts 136.636 cents a day, about $499 a year, and dialysis machines 101.376 cents a day, about $370 a year. CPAP machines are covered at 48.484 cents a day.
No concession card is needed: eligibility is based on the medical need. Registering the address as a life support address with your retailer also gives you notice of planned outages.
