About the Medical Heating and Cooling Concession
The concession is currently $291.27 a year, indexed each financial year, and paid in addition to the Energy Bill Concession. Together, an eligible household gets up to $582.54 a year.
You need certification from a medical specialist or GP that the condition is severely worsened by hot or cold weather, and you must use an air conditioner at home to manage it. Clinical guidelines on the SA Government site explain which conditions qualify.
