About the Electricity, Gas and Water Rebate
The rebate, formerly called the Utilities Concession, is $800 for 2026-27. It is credited daily, at about 101.887 cents a day in summer and 381.699 cents a day from June to October, so most of it arrives on your winter bills.
On ActewAGL's regulated price for 4,000 kWh a year, about $1,968, the rebate covers around 40% of the bill, one of the highest shares in the country.
Only the primary card holder can apply, and the name and address must match the electricity account. The Commonwealth Seniors Health Card does not qualify.
