Who to call in Queensland
Energex supplies south-east Queensland, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Ergon Energy supplies the rest of the state. Both are part of the state-owned Energy Queensland.
Each network has two numbers. Use the outage number to report no power, and the fallen powerline number for downed lines or electric shocks. Call 000 first if anyone is in danger.
Storm and cyclone season brings most of Queensland's big outages. The Queensland Government's Get Ready site has advice on preparing for and recovering from severe weather.
