About Endeavour Energy

Endeavour Energy connects about 1.1 million homes and businesses, and says its network serves around 2.8 million people. It covers some of the fastest-growing suburbs in the country, so connecting new estates in the west and south-west of Sydney is a big part of its work.

Like Ausgrid, Endeavour was partly privatised through a 99-year lease of a 50.4% interest, with the NSW Government keeping the rest. The Australian Energy Regulator sets how much revenue it can recover from customers over each regulatory period.

Western Sydney summers are hotter than the coast, so peak demand on Endeavour's network comes on hot afternoons and evenings when air conditioners run across the region.

Owner: A 50.4% interest is held under a 99-year lease by a consortium including Macquarie Asset Management, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and the Qatar Investment Authority. The NSW Government keeps the other 49.6%.

Check Endeavour's current outages first. If your outage is not listed, report it by phone or online. If only your home is affected, check your switchboard: see power out in your house.

For planned work, Endeavour must give you at least four business days' notice under the National Energy Retail Rules, and written notice if you are registered for life support. See planned outages.

Fallen powerlines

Treat any fallen line as live. Stay well back, call 000 if anyone is in danger, then call Endeavour. See fallen powerline safety.

What Endeavour means for your bill

Network charges are built into your retailer's usage rate and daily supply charge. The AER found network charges were up to 46% of a residential bill in 2024. On the Default Market Offer for the Endeavour area in 2026-27, the price is 33.73c per kWh and $1.85 a day, about $2,025 a year at 4,000 kWh.

Retailers compete in this network. As at 14 October 2026, the cheapest generally available flat-rate plan was Tango Energy's Everyday Easy, at about $1,533 a year for 4,000 kWh. See the full ranking.
