About Solstice Energy

Solstice Energy is the new name for Tas Gas, the Tasmanian gas retailer. It received its electricity retailer authorisation from the AER on 10 November 2023 and began selling electricity in Tasmania in July 2024.

Aurora Energy, owned by the Tasmanian Government, still supplies the large majority of Tasmanian homes, so Solstice is one of the few ways to switch.
